Birthday Wish List 2018

Woo hoo, Autumn’s arrived! March the 1st means it’s time for another instalment of my birthday wish list (for some reason, I keep thinking that ‘wish list’ is one word, but then I get that red squiggly line that tells me it’s two), so here’s what I’m hoping for present-wise this time around!

  1.  Books – I put out two wish lists each year. One’s my Christmas wish list, where I ask Santa please for lotsa presents and the other’s my birthday wish list, which comes out March the first every year. (My birthday’s March the 20th) Inevitably, books will always be on the top of those two wish lists. Never mind that the cruel and unfaithful God has taken away so much of my English ability that it takes nearly one month to plough through one book, the fact remains that I’ve always loved reading and books will always hold first place in any wish list I create! My favourite genres are fantasy, science fiction and historical fiction, but hey, I’ll try reading anything bar Mills and Boon. XD I’m still after that new Garth Nix novel from the Abhorsen series and today I discovered that Raymond E. Feist (my favouritest author ever) has just published a new book; I want that too, please!!
  2.  Minions – apparently, anyone who only knows me even slightly is well aware of the complete obsession I have with these adorable, jellybean-shaped adorable beings, and I simply can’t get enough of them! More minions, please; BA-NA-NA!! XD
  3.  E-reader: methinks every wish list should contain one expensive item, don’t you? Well, I’m after an e-reader! I’ll confess that I’ve got absolutely no idea how expensive those things are, but if they cost tons of dollars, perhaps several people could all chip in and get me one, please?
  4.  Pet: okay, July this year will mark one whole decade since I lost poor Silver and Bronze (my pet goldfish) to the cold; surely I can be trusted with a live pet again?? Now I know I haveta buy a heater to regulate the fish tank; I never knew goldfish were so pathetic they’d perish without extra warmth! Otherwise, if I’m really not to be trusted with a live pet anymore, Luke Mac Court, I’m still waiting for my pet rock!!! XD
  5.  Teddy: like books, this item will always feature in my wish lists. Yes, all my teddies are named and yes, all are loved. <3
  6.  Pizza: I also try to include one food item in both my yearly wish lists! I often tell people that the way to my heart is through my stomach (feed me and I’ll love you forever XD) and since I’m still slowly munching on that delicious Nesquik cereal that awesome Samuel Enderby got me for Christmas last year, thought I’d try asking for a pizza! Not any pizza, mind you, but the ones you get from the Sunnybank Plaza Hoyts cinemas! See, once mother and I were seeing some movie there, when this cinema attendant dude (or whatever people who work inside cinemas are called) walked into our cinema with a pizza and delivered it to a viewer! On the way out, I saw that it’s an Eagle Boys! Someone please take me to see a movie around lunchtime and let’s order a pizza for sharing!!

Hmm … I’ve run outta things to ask for, even though I’ve only named six things! Guess I value meeting people out for a meal to celebrate my birthday more. XD Pity, unfortunately, that the parents are in the habit of gleefully forbidding me to contact anyone and ask if they’re free to celebrate my birthday over a meal with me … Never mind, I’ll leave it up to you, the reader, to contact me! I’m also reserving the right to add to this wish list as the month progresses~

Next post here … well, I’m currently in the midst of reading a friend’s novella and don’t really have time to write any blog posts for myself! If nothing comes along, you may not hear from me again until December the 1st, when my Christmas wishlist comes out! Anyways, until then~

Cheers,

Em. ^^

P.S. 7.Oh, I want a BIRTHDAY CAKE! See, had it not been for the fact that last year was a decade birthday for me, meaning I had proper birthday parties with proper whole birthday cakes, I wouldn’t have gotten one @ all! When I’d asked mother please could I buy a birthday cake, she’d snapped curtly at me, “No, I didn’t get a birthday cake last year, so why should you?” However, I’m not turning a special year this year and it’s doubtful I’m having a birthday party with a birthday cake … but I’d like one, please! A proper whole cake (however tiny) , not just one slice, please!
