happy feet2

Firstly, how could one have such a creative name like ‘Happy Feet’ and yet give one’s own son such a boring name like ‘Erik’? XD beats me.
But yesterday, mother and I went to watch our first movie of 2012 together!
First up, we saw the preview of Ice Age4, I’m sure that when it releases on the big screen, dad will take mother and I to see it together. We especially love the little squirrel that chases so desperately for his beloved acorn. XD
Anyways, here are all my favourite quotes, trivia and goofs, courtesy of imdb:

Let’s start with the goofs first:
One of the character's is a puffin. Puffins live on the north pole, not the south.
My goodness, there’s only one goof, and no trivia! Wonder why? Oh well, here are all the quotes I liked:
The Mighty Sven: If you want it, you must will it. If you will it, it will be yours. (A/N: if only things were that simple … ><”)
[shouts down at Carmen who is down below, far beyond the ice block cliff where Ramon stands at]
Ramon: I hate this long distance relationship! (A/N: I love ramon, he’s so cool! ^^)
The Mighty Sven: Today is great victory... for defeat.
- Ramon: You, me, beautiful egg, right now.
Carmen: You, me, fat chance.
Ramon: I have a chance, and it's fat! (A/N: like I just said, I love ramon! XD)
- - Atticus: Y'all best be apologizin', or I'll be tearing you a new nostril.
- - Will the Krill: So this is the end. I better make my will. I, Will Williams, do hereby leave everything to my imagination. Oh, no! I have an imagination, the second sign of madness. (but I thought the first sign of insanity was talking to yourself, and the second sign of insanity was answering yourself back ... is there a third sign of insanity, or are you certifiably insane after showing the first two signs? XD)
- Will the Krill: That's one small step for a krill, one giant leap for a spineless invertebrate.
-hey, there’s not much in the way of quotes, either!
Anyways, personally, I loved this film. ^^ right from the start, I questioned how that ‘flying penguin’ was really a penguin, coz he looks physically different to all the emperor penguins, so it was good to hear him blurt out that he was actually a puffin.
Also, go the krill! Life’s gotta be hard for them, you know, being at the bottom of the food chain and all … XD
I also loved those two baby elephant seals, crying out for their daddy: they were uber-cute! ^^
And, for all that Erik hadn’t found his niche into the world, he’s got a damn nice voice! At the end, when he was singing and scolding that emperor seal dad for refusing to help them, he’d make a nice tenor. Whaddya say, Dr. Lee, that you quit your day job as a doctor, dress up as a nice fat penguin, and go around singing? XD
There were times throughout the movie when I strongly suspected mother was blubbering (she’s like that, bursting into great gulping sobs whenever something even remotely sentimental happens XD) but she claimed she didn’t. XD
But, all in all, ‘twas a fantastic movie! I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking to whit away ninety minutes of their day.
Next post here … well, hopefully, mother will take me to see Warhorse sometime soon! I’ve been in love with horses ever since grade two, when I wandered into the school library and picked up Anna Sewell’s classic novel Black Beauty … righteo, until then!
Cheers,
Em. ^^
