letters to god

well, today, my visitors from SHINE fellowship were uncle kelvin cham and kathy chow. kathy brought along a movie for us to watch, some christian movie called 'letters to god'.
it's about this little kid, tyler, who's got some kinda brain cancer, and it's just about the last short days/weeks/months of his short life.
he's been writing lotsa letters to god. just simple "dear god, please look after ..." ones. but he hands them to the postie everyday, and through that, he brings the postie to christ.
tyler's got a female best friend, who stands up for him (one part of the movie is her shoving some bully's face into a bowl of cereal :P)
tyler's also got an older brother, who doesn't really understand all the attention his lil bro's getting and becomes somewhat jealous of him.
the mum and grandma also play a role, grandma giving some support to the mum when she can't handle the prospect of losing her son.
there's also some very lovely music throughout. :) hey, a movie review doesn't exist unless there's some mention about the music! :P
this movie's a tear jerker, though: tyler passes away @ the end. :(
but i wonder ... what would it be like to have faith like tyler does? to write letters to god and just believe that they'll be read up in heaven?
anyways, this is a sweet little movie. :)
next post here ... well, i'm trying my hardest to find someone who can gimme a lift to the church picnic toms! if i can attend, i'll have a long post all about it toms night i'm sure! but if i can't (poor dad's recovering from a small operation and can't go, while mother's looking after him) i'll prolly have a post toms too, coz it's labour day toms! righteo, until then!
