Let the month long celebration commence! :D Easily the best thing I learnt from a Facebook friend last year’s that you’re not meant to only celebrate your birthday on the actual day itself, you’re allowed to celebrate it for the entire MONTH! XD How lucky I am to be born in a month that has thirty-one days then; that means I get to celebrate my birthday for three whole days longer than those who celebrate their birthday in February! XD
Every year I put out two wishlists: (yes, I know correct spelling makes that two words: wish list but personally I reckon it looks just fine being one word! XD) one for my birthday in March and another for Christmas in December. Granted, I have like nine months to think of all the things I’d like Santa to bring me once my birthday month ends for another year but only like three months between Christmas and my next birthday but since I’ve never considered myself to be overly materialistic I’ll be lucky if I can think of ten different things I’m hoping people will bring me for my birthday this year. XD Ready?
(1)
Books – this item will always be the first thing I ask for. Never mind
that amongst all the numerous dreadful disabilities the cruel and unfaithful
God has abandoned me with’s super-slow reading speed; the fact’s that I’ve
always loved reading and I’m determined to never let Him take that away from
me, coz goodness gracious, hasn’t He already taken enough?! My favourite genres
are fantasy, science fiction and historical fiction but I’m willing to try
reading anything (bar Mills and Boon XD) for fifty pages!
(2)
Teddy – the other item that always appears in the two wishlists. All my
teddies are named (although I sheepishly admit to having two John Does XD) and
all are loved. Actually, for some reason, I have far more boy teddies than girl
teddies, wonder why? Doesn’t matter; I’d like a new teddy bear for my birthday,
please~
(3)
Outdoors electric wheelchair – I started asking for this after I got a
new mobile phone last year because people aren’t meant to be greedy and ask for
more than one expensive thing at a time, I think? XD Back when the NDIS first
started in Brisbane , a physio friend told my parents that they should apply for me a new
electric wheelchair, because the funding system for them would be gone once the
NDIS started. When the new electric wheelchair arrived, I eagerly asked mother
was she gonna book our flight tickets back to Hong Kong very soon? See, the reason I’ve not been
able to return to Hong
Kong to visit all
my beloved family and awesome friends since the beginning of 2012’s because
when in HK, mother and I mostly live with her younger sister, who lives up a
steep hill. In my manual wheelchair, I’m fine to wheel and steer myself around
– albeit slowly – on level ground, but I’m just not physically strong enough to
push myself uphill. Back in 2012, that task fell to my dearest dad and as a result,
he hurt his back. That’s when he decided he and mother wouldn’t take me back to
Hong Kong anymore; rather, they’d take turns going.
About two years ago, when the NDIS arrived in QLD, a physio friend recommended
my parents apply to get me a new electric wheelchair, because funding under the
old scheme was ending soon. After my new electric wheelchair arrived, I
excitedly asked mother was she gonna book our plane tickets to Hong Kong right away?
See, with the electric wheelchair, my poor dad wouldn’t haveta hurt his back by
pushing the manual wheelchair uphill; I’d use the joystick and drive it uphill
myself! You cannot believe how PISSED I was when mother smugly jeered at me
that since my new electric wheelchair was an indoors, not an outdoors one, I
still wouldn’t be going back to Hong Kong anytime soon! WTF did the parents get
me that electric wheelchair for anyway, then?! It’s not like I ever get to use
it; indeed, it just sits uncharged in the garage. *sigh* Truth be told, I’ve
got absolutely zero idea how much an outdoors electric wheelchair costs, but if
it’s expensive, maybe several people could chip in together to buy me one? More
than anything I’m desperate to visit all my beloved family in Hong Kng …

Pet – this May will mark twelve years since the passing of poor Silver
and Bronze and while I’ll forever be horribly guilty of involuntary
manslaughter I honestly just didn’t know that goldfish were so pathetic they
needed a heater in their tank to keep them warm lest they perish from the cold!
XD Hoping someone will bring me a new pet whether it be two new goldfish or
even a pet rock; Luke Mac Court, years ago you said you’d bring me a pet rock!
I thought you were just pulling my leg but I tried Googling pet rocks and there
are literally web pages detailing how you care for them! Sure, you’re busy
being a dad and all, but if nobody’s gonna get me two more goldfish my only
hope will be for a pet rock! XD
(5)
Minions – surely my entire church family at BCAC – indeed, anyone who
knows me even only briefly – will be aware that I’m entirely besotted with these
yellow, jellybean-shaped creatures! I’m guessing my obsession will haveta end
once the Minions2 movie gets released later this year because there’s already
been three Despicable Me movies so for just one more wishlist I’m asking
everyone to please bring me more minions please! BA-NA-NA!! XD
(6)
Frosties – apart from books and teddies, my wishlists always come with
one food item. Nowadays the only cereals I eat are Weet-Bix and All-Bran so I’d
like a box of yummy, sugary and unhealthy cereal please. XD Frosties were my
favourite as a little kid; you also can’t go past Fruit Loops but I’ll even
take Nesquik cereal or Milo cereal!
Hmm .. after only six items I’ve already run outta things to ask for. Guess I’m just not an overly materialistic person, then. XD Truth be told, I’d much more enjoy catching up with people over a meal out, but we’ll see how the parents are this year. In the past, they’ve tried expressly forbidding me to contact anyone for a meal catchup. *sigh* Well, if you read the wishlist and have a free afternoon/evening to celebrate my birthday together, please contact me! ^^ Also, I reserve the right to add to this wishlist should other items I’d like for my birthday suddenly occur to me. XD

Next post here … you’ll prolly haveta wait until September, when I pen down how I celebrated how I celebrated my birthday this year, before you hear from me again. XD For more informal posts, check out embluekirby.livejournal.com because this year I’ve randomly started blogging again!
Anyhow, until then~
Cheers,
Em. ^^
P.S. 7. Westlife CD - I can't believe I forgot to include this item! Westlife have been my favourite band since they formed in like 1999 but I unfortunately missed their one concert here in Brisbane in 2007 coz that's when the cruel and unfaithful God destroyed my life with the brain injury! >< Then they disbanded in like 2012 but FINALLY got back together this year with a new album! I really want it, but the website doesn't accept AUD, just USD and pounds! Can anyone please help me get this??
